Great good. The mixed appetizer of pimento cheese and hummus is a must! The frozen margarita and mojitos are great. The three items (Greek salad with chicken, club pita, lamb and steak pita) we ordered were good. Pretty nice serving size since we had leftovers!
I’ve been wanting to try this place since I started traveling to Oxford for work last year. I took my puppy with me, and we both loved it! The staff was great and even brought my puppy a bowl of water. The food was absolutely wonderful! The Hotty Toddy Balls are amazing!
A couple of coworkers and I were in town for work for a few days, and Volta Taverna was our third meal during our time in Oxford. We went for lunch on day 2, and everything was great. The person that sat us was polite, the waitress was polite and attentive and informative regardingmenu items, and the food was all around good.
One of the best gyro's I've ever had. Make sure to take a bite of just the meat to realize how flipping tender it is! The fried brussel sprouts were one-of-a-kind awesome too.
Great place. The service is top notch as well as the food. I can personally recommend the chicken gyro, sweet potato fries, and the chicken coconut soup (it didn’t taste like coconut at all lol). I would eat there every single day if I could!
Awarded the best margaritas in town, they are half price on Saturdays, super friendly staff. All around a great experience. We did get there at peak lunch time with a party of 7 so we had to wait for a table. A party of 4 or less is practically no wait at all, even during peak hours. Food was great and I don't think we had any leftovers, which is strange for my family. We tried the pimento hummus as an appetizer and it was surprisingly delicious.
Delicious, fresh Greek food. Appetizers like labneh and hummus and gyros sliders to soups and salads to souvlaki and lamb/beef gyros. Portions are very large and could easily be shared. Alcoholic beverages and desserts are also available. Service was great. Wheelchair accessible. Parking is a little limited during peak times.
This place is AWESOME. Fantastic service, huge portions, great food. It fills up quickly, so come early. By 6pm there was a wait and not much parking.
The food is great! We had Hotty Toddy Balls, Beef and Lamb Gyro, and the Bruce Lee Gyro.
Wow! First time to Oxford and my son suggested eating here. Very cool vibe, great outside eating area, fantastic food - tons to choose from. Cocktails were as good as the food! Was crowded but didn't take long to be seated. Highly recommend checking it out.
